I need you to develop some software for me. I would like this software to be developed for Windows using .NET. We would like to develop REST API Service (PCS). PCS will serve thousands of clients. Each client once started should establish constant connection with PCS using unique Client ID. PCS should use another REST API service (CMS) sending it the client ID to receive set of server folders, c:\download\001, 005, 006, etc. Folders associated to each client are one or more and some folders can be shared between different clients. PCS should monitor folders associated to each client and start the download process (download only files that are newer than client version). Each client has content local folder c:\content containing all files in all associated server folders. Every time server folders changed, PCS should update client folder and notifies client after update is complete. DOWNLOAD SHOULD BE VERY OPTIMIZED, SMART and FAST. If any of files related to any connected client changed, PCS should start the same process. The scope of this project is to develop PCS, client, and dummy CMS retuning fixed but different set for folders for each client ID (this could be stored in text or XML file for easy update). Set of folders associated to each client can also be changed at any point. This means that some client folder files should be added, others updated and others deleted. Delivery test: we will run the PCS on server and run the client on so many windows machines. Clients should show on their screens the files downloaded at any iteration. Will change some files and / or folders on the server to see what clients will be initiated to download and download what until it is notified (show on screen) that content is changed (if any files are downloaded). Time between server update and client update start, download time and code readability and quality are the criteria of task acceptance.
