I'm looking for a Python expert who can assist me in setting up real-time video streaming and data transfer from Raspberry Pi 5 to a PC over a static network configuration. The project involves an underwater camera and sensor data. Tasks include: Supply Python client and server scripts on a PC and rpi5+camera over a static IP network connection. Using the picamera2 module to stream video to PC. The video is recorded on the PC (time stamp for file name), with text overlay on the video showing PC date and time. UDP for simple 2way communications of small 'hello world' type text strings between the RPI5 and PC. Happy to control everything from the python script on the PC at present with a simple window for viewing the video. No GUI required at present. You should have a deep understanding of Python, experience with video streaming and data transfer, and background working with Raspberry Pi devices and the picamera2 library. I have the operational hardware setup in my office and can perform the UDP communications however I cant figure out video streaming using the picamera2 library. Everything is working and I can get udp communications between PC and RPI5. The camera on the rpi5 is operational. I am powering the rpi5 through a ethernet-coax-ethernet converters and POE however it behaves exactly as a direct network connection. You will require your own RPI + camera to get your code working then supply the code to me.

I have read your requirement of video and sensor data streaming from an underwater ROV using rpi 5 and python. I want to inquire about what will be maximum length of your hybrid power data cable? Also do you want manual roll pitch yaw control from separate joystick type control or using rpi 5. We can create milestones of this project. It would be better that we discuss in detail.
