Proofreading/MTPE of social-media content from FR/IT/NO/RU/UK/JA/AR into English (ongoing)

Readwiser is a London-based company providing media analysis services to a range of clients including PR agencies, media monitoring companies and social-media research companies. We analyse traditional and social-media content across more than 25 languages to help our clients benchmark the image of their brand in the media and gauge the effectiveness of their PR strategies. We are seeking to collaborate with freelance proofreaders working with English and one of the following source languages: French, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Arabic. You should be a native speaker of your source language and at least an advanced learner of English. Native proficiency in both languages is welcome. Task description The type of document you will proofread consists of a list of Tweets in your source language which have been machine-translated into English for market research purposes. You will check the translations against the original Tweets and fix any mistranslations that change the meaning and nuance of the original Tweet. Please note that there will be projects throughout the year, but we cannot guarantee any minimum volume of work. Terms and conditions Payment is made within 30 days of receiving your invoice.
