Update prices in Woo-commerce via SQL script. We have an existing WordPress site using woo-commerce to sell products. We have a large number of products and these products are split into categories and the majority of products are variable products. We have tried using plugins and the bulk price updater in WordPress/Woo-commerce but both either time out (server restrictions) or fail mid point leaving us having to find out where it failed and resume updating prices manually. I understand this can be done directly in SQL via script but possibly needs a cache to be cleared to display new prices. I'd like to be able to update the prices in any particular category (and ideally brand - which is split by product tags) via an SQL script, which we can run on the database whenever needed (on whichever product category (and/or brand) we need to update). We would need instructions on running the script to ensure we could replicate this task when needed. Ideally the script will allow for prices to be updated by $ amount. WordPress 5.2.2 Woo commerce V3.65 but will be updating to 3.7 imminently. MySQL - 5.5.5-10.2.26-MariaDB We can either supply a copy of the database and/or a Dev site for testing purposes once the project has been awarded.

Hello . . When dealing with large data process such as updating db, add, delete, etc. I usually utilize partial progress/pagination where we don't execute the process at once, Instead we split them to be, for example only run 100 items/process and then continue to 100 - 200/items, and go on This way we would have mark where the process stops and avoid server time out. Since you do have the plugin already, I think we could utilize/duplicate that plugin ( only pricing update function ), and create new plugin which works by paginating, so you would know where the process is running while staying in the page, and possible of pause/resume the process.
