_Goal
_Utility or application which will attach new files created in a specific folder to an outlook contact.
_Process
_1: Monitoring a specified folder [ie. c:\monitored folder].
2: When a new file is created in this folder [ie: *.doc or *.pdf].
3: Application will prompt for attachment of this file to Outlook contact.
4: If outlook not open, launch outlook.
5: The user will have the option to:
a: Click attach to current contact
b: Navigate through outlook for the desired contact and then click attach.

1: A text field for entering notes to the attachment.
2: A dropdown to select a classification for the attachment [ie: 'New applications', 're-applications', 'Cancellation' etc]
3: If these field/ notes can be made searchable.
a: Show me outlook contacts with attachment type 'x'.
[ie: Outllook contacts with *.pdf attachments].
b: Show me outlook contacts with attachment type 'x' and classification 'Y'.
[ie: Outllook contacts with *.pdf attachments with note/classsifcation of 'Cancellations'].

_Direction_
1: This files must be associated with a specific outlook contact.
2: The user need to have this specific file visisble/accessable in from the outlook contact view.
3: An outlook contact may have several of these attachments over time.
4: A user may choose to analyze or report contacts with these files.
5: The user may need to distinguish these files even within each contact by a classification.

_Ideas for Approach and Bonus Enhancements_
1: If an access database was utilitized to store the links, notes and classifications, it would easily be searchable and reportable.
2: If the Outllook contact receives a unique link as an attachment to this Access database and the specific link to the specific file.
ie: The user might see in the outlook contact a 3 links to this DB. Clicking link 1 would open the DB at the link in for that specific file. The user would then be able to see the notes related to this link, the calssification, date created, file size and click the respective link to open the file.
3: Perhaps the DB could then have additional user editable fields which are only viewable or accessible in the db view.

There are several freely available scripts on the web for folder monitoring as well as Outlook scripts for removing/moving attachments to a DB or specified area which can be utilized for integration.

_Deliverables:_
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

1: This application will need to run on Windows 98Se and UP
2: If a DB is utilized, it should not require the user to have Access installed on their computer.
