MediaWiki's latest version 1.22.6 and beyond supports the use of a a WYSIWYG editor called VisualEditor [login to view URL] It has a relatively complex setup requiring the installation of nodejs and parsoid server support for it to run. We have followed closely and installed those prerequisites but are finding the wiki will not load when we try to enable the VisualEditor extension. Ideally we are looking for someone who has successfully installed the VisualEditor extension and understands the issues at hand. WE WANT TO SEE THE VisualEditor WORKING ON MediaWiki Version 1.22.6 YOUR SERVER before you get it working on ours. That is our proof that you know how to do it. This is required. Do not bid on our project unless you can demonstrate this. When finished we should be able to upload media (pictures etc) and edit text using the VisualEditor environment Thank you.

Here is a screenshot: [login to view URL] I have no server at the moment but I can set up a reverse tunnel to my local machine at an agreed time if you want to see a live demo. I have actually set up VisualEditor recently to get involved with the development of it (I am the author of the MediaWiki Lingo extension), so I was pleased to see this project as soon as I signed up to FreeLancer.
