MS Access 2003 Image compress and use database online

I have an old Microsoft Access 2003 database with tables, queries, forms and reports which I use frequently as I built the database myself, its comes handy with manipulating data as per my need when ever I need. Recently I have modified it to include products and I have the details other than pictures/images of the products. By default the program saves images in *.bmp and the size with each image increases considerably. I want to get a solution to this issue as I want to save images in my database with least size. I don't want to upgrade or move to latest versions of MS Access as I can do the changes in my database as per my needs in this version only. I want to save the images/photos in Forms, and have them on reports as well, and may require the same in future in other forms / reports in same database. I will need to know how to do it in future on my own. I also want to use the database online having a front end with Linked tables, Queries, Forms and Reports with the Backend with only tables saved online on my hosting.
