This is really interesting, optimizing a system like that would be a fun challenge. Some questions that I'd like to talk about: - Who is our customer, the mom & pop shops, or are they our competitors? - Before become a software engineer I worked in supply chain & logistics, and from that experience it looks like a we'd need to build/use a demand planning /forecasting system, as well as a portal for buying/selling (web app), is this what you're thinking? - What's your experience in this area? - What's your budget/proposal for CTO? $15-20/hr doesn't seem realistic for a business venture like this.
