I have two .DLL that control the Brightness and Volume of the user's computer. I want to interface those DLL with my FLASH-based software. My software interfaces with another software's socket API using [login to view URL] -however, we do not have to use this, we can receive a simple raw socket communication. The API is described at [login to view URL]:[login to view URL] The Socket's functions: *My flash app will be launched. If the user wants to "launch" the brightness and volume (.dll) features in my app, via fscommand it will will load the SOCKET/DLL (so it needs to be background-only action). *The .DLL receives 0-100 bright and 0-100 volume commands from my app and drives the computer's volume and brightness levels (as per attached .dlls). *My app may PING the SOCKET/DLL and it should respond to confirm functioning. *Upon closure of my app or disactiviation of the DLL functions, my app will send an "endNow" value to the SOCKET/DLL at which time it will perform proper shutdown actions. *SOCKET/DLL should have an auto self-exit check (if communication is lost with my app, SOCKET/DLL restores defaults and exits). The .DLLs are attached. We need only for you to write the SOCKET LAYER. My in-house programmers are responsible for integration of your work in my app. They will provide you support if needed.

Hi, i'm a proficient network programmer. seems like you need to have a socket server which can be running as a service, in the system which will call dll's functions to set the brightness & volume parameters. also, let me know if multiple flash apps is also possible? then we have to do multi-threading app so from any app the volume & brightness can be adjusted. Angad.
