So it looks like there are multiple things here: you need a CloudFormation template for your resources, you want your EC2 instances set up to serve the app on startup and put in an autoscaling group, and you need an email service setup for your domain (I suggest Amazon WorkMail to keep everything in the AWS ecosystem but you can also use a third party email service if you already have one).
