We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Native Application Architect for a two-week engagement to design and define the architecture for a new visualization and analytics platform. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand visualization and analytics requirements for the platform. • Design a comprehensive cloud-native architecture for the visualization and analytics platform, encompassing data ingestion, processing, storage, visualization, and analytics components. • Leverage your expertise to recommend open-source technologies, off-the-shelf software tools, or a combination of both to implement the chosen architecture. • Translate the overall architecture into a specific AWS cloud implementation plan. o Select appropriate AWS services for each component of the architecture (e.g., data storage, compute, analytics services, visualization tools). • Consider cost optimization strategies for the AWS cloud implementation • Identify and document the list of capabilities and resources needed to develop the platform, including infrastructure, software licenses, and personnel skills. • Create a detailed implementation plan outlining the steps, timeline, and resource allocation for building the platform based on the proposed architecture. • Document the designed architecture for future reference and knowledge transfer. • Technical Skills & Experience: • Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Application Architect or similar role. • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native applications. • Strong understanding of data visualization and analytics principles. • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts and best practices (AWS, Azure). • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. • Familiarity with open-source data ingestion, processing, storage, visualization, and analytics tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, Superset, etc.) is a plus. Deliverables: • Detailed cloud-native architecture document for the visualization and analytics platform. • Translate the overall architecture into a specific AWS cloud native architecture. • List of capabilities and resources required to develop the platform. • Implementation plan for the AWS cloud native solution outlining the steps, timeline, and resource allocation for building the platform.
