I am trying to find out ultimate load carrying capacity of a RC jacketed column. earlier the column dimension was 300*300 and the ultimate load(factored) carrying capacity of that column is 1444.5KN(Calculated mathematically in Accordance with Indian Standard code IS456-2000). Now i am trying to provide a jacket of Reinforced Concrete(RC) to that column of 100mm thickness. So , the new dimension of that column becomes 500*500. Area of steel provided Everywhere is 1% of gross cross-sectional area. SO what will be the new ultimate load carrying capcity of jacketed column (with ABAQUS)? I am ready to purhase CAE file

We are looking for engineer to assist on an awarded project of ours to construct an Olympic size swimming pool with size 50m L x 25.9m W x 1.35m H and four edge finished with perimeter overflow grating. An in-ground pump room with 25.9m W x 2m H will be construed next to the pool to accommodate the pool equipment with partially forms a balancing tank in concrete. Refer attachment for plan & sectional view. The engineer is required to... 1. to design & propose the M&E (mechanical & electrical) system for the swimming pool, e.g. sizing of piping & plumbing fittings, pool fittings, pool equipment, control panel, balancing tank, components, etc. with hydraulic and electrical calculations for the proposed design. 2. to produce shop drawings & schematic diagram in AutoCAD as construction & installation details for the proposed design. 3. to produce B.Q. The Simulink models of a PV panel, a MPPT, a boost converter and a CHP Stirling engine system have already been developed and are included with their respective references in the uploaded files section of this project. The models have the following main characteristics: PV panel is based on a five-paremeter model. Stirling engine model is a dynamical one based on lumped capacitance method to estimate the start-up and shutdown periods in the engine operation. There is no specific thermal demand; therefore, it is required to calculate the thermal energy produced during the operation. MPPT is based on the Perturb and Observe method. So, the project should include a dynamical model in Simulink of a stand-alone Stirling Engine/Photovoltaic hybrid energy system in order to cover the electricity demand in a rural community. -AC electricity demand, solar radiation and ambient temperature per minute of a complete year is included. (It is preferable that the simulation time step would be in minutes). -The battery bank should be of 24 V composed of lead acid batteries. - A synchronous generator for the Stirling engine and appropiate power electronics converter between the generator and AC load should be included. - There is no problem of using a inverter and a rectifier separately or using a bidirectional inverter. - A Simulink block should include the dispatch strategy (Cycle charging and load following) (Information attached). - A single and three phased inverter should be used. (Two models). - If it is necessary, change the boost converter to another dc-dc converter.
