Software reliability wizard

We are a small US software company focused on cloud B2B systems, looking for someone who can create and run manual tests designed to find bugs in the app. As new features and fixes or added they need to be verified, often using a combination of pre-made test steps and improvised, on the spot tests specific to the feature. The applicant will become an expert in the workings of our web app. This is a long-term, ongoing position. Requirements: - Fluency in English (both written and verbal) - Technical background, either in the software industry or closely (IT) related - Prior experience using CSV files to import, export and manipulate data - Experience in providing technical/customer support - Good at multitasking - Strong problem solving skills - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to clearly communicate bugs within the software, using concise writing, screenshots and screencasts as needed - Reliable Internet connection (10+ mbit) for VOIP use Any prior development experience, even very minimal, would be helpful. Since it will give the applicant insight into what may be going on in the code and inspire more effective testing. Bonus skills: - Experience with SAAS apps, - Any experience with Freshdesk or Slack is a plus - Any experience with Jira and Agile Development is a plus Work duties & Hours: - Running tests of the software during three time windows. 1) Fridays for 2-3 hours between 8am-4pm(GMT -5) This will be the new features and fixes in our test environment. The window times may vary, ie if fixes are not complete or further fixes are needed testing may have to be done later, or some additional testing may need to be done. 2) Saturday for 2-3 hours between 3am and 6am (GMT -5). This testing will be for the same items as the Friday test but these tests will be performed on the Production environment. Occasionally the Saturday release is postponed to Sunday and is done during the same hours. Availability and performance during these times is critical. Missing these scheduled test times can undermine the stability/reliability of our app. 3) Weekdays for 1-2 hours. Usually starting around 5am (GMT -5) . The timing here is a bit more flexible and there may be some days with less to be done. Features in progress will be tested and reviewed. - In all of these cases you'll be reporting any bugs that are found to the developers and then following up to review the fixes after they are in place. - After you are familiar with the existing tests you'll begin creating and documenting new reproducible test sequences I expect the initial training to take around 10 days, 2-3 hours per day. This will consist of watching videos about the app and participating in a number of Skype/Screen share calls.
