NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON!
Attached you will find an Excel spreadsheet entitled [login to view URL] and a text file entitled PABIRTHS.TXT. The data inside the 2 files is the same. Follow the steps as described below.
a) Use the LIBNAME statement and to associate a directory on your flash drive with a library name.
b) Use the FILENAME statement to associate a "short name" for the [login to view URL] file described below in part j).
c) Using the DATA and DATALINES statements, create a SAS dataset called PABIRTHS.
d) Use PROC PRINT to demonstrate that all of the data imported correctly.
e) Use PROC FREQ to show the relative and cumulative frequencies for the age groups.
f) Create a very "presentable" (professional) vertical bar chart using PROC GCHART, to show the age groups and the number of births (frequency) by age group.
g) Create a very "presentable" (professional) vertical bar pareto chart using PROC PARETO, to show the age groups and the number of births (frequency) in descending order by age group.
h) Repeat steps f) and g) using a horizontal bar chart.
i) Using PROC IMPORT in SAS, create a SAS dataset called PABIRTHS2 and repeat steps d) through h).
j) Using the short name for [login to view URL] file, create a SAS dataset called PABIRTHS3 and repeat steps d) through h).
k) Verify that the information is the same for all 3 data inputs.
l) Do a PROC DATASETS to show the items in the library.
m) Do a PROC CONTENTS for one of the datasets to show the dataset detail information.
n) When everything looks good, be sure to save your code, etc. to your drive.
NEED a word doc with everything from above...copy and paste all the code from it and all the outputs w/ the charts etc....all in one word doc.
