I'm looking for someone who could help me with a quick rig for a car engine's pistons and valve intakes. I need it today as a 3d Studio Max file or a rig that can be supported in 3d Studio Max.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
I need (2) rigs at the moment. They're both equally as simple. I think that if you figured out one the other should be a breeze.
In a nutshell, this is a reference for the movement we want to achieve: [login to view URL] - also see "[login to view URL]" and "[login to view URL]" for reference of my model.
There are two pistons at every section facing the opposite direction (8 in total). These pistons should move vertically as the "crankshaft" rotates/spins. However, the movement should be smooth that it would fit into the yellow cylinder smoothly (see "[login to view URL]").
I've tried to rig this myself using links and constraints but the issue I keep running into is that once the pistons are rotated back into their original position (at 45 degrees), they don't move along the cylinder smoothly as they should. Instead, they move either in a circular motion or in the "world Z-axis". I'm having a similar issue with the other rig as well.
I've attached a preview for one of the rigging tests I've done, "[login to view URL]".
NOTE: I only need the rigs, not the animation or a rendered video.

I am sure I will be able to rig engine pistons and valves. Only issue is that I am using Autodesk Maya as my primary 3d application.
Because of that I want to test compatibility of the rig. Please send me your engine 3d model and I will rig two pistons and send it back to you. If everything works fine you can accept my bid and I will work on this project. Please let me know if this is OK with you.

Hi. I received the invitation to work on your project. but unfortunately I only work in Maya. I can tell you it's easier to do it by programming if you can find someone who programs in 3d max. I'm sure it will be easier.
