Wordpress Connection Lost Error and Clear Server Space

I have a 2 part project. One, my wordpress installation repeatedly gets "Connection Lost" errors while we are posting an article. When that happens, the site goes unresponsive too for however long it lasts. See attached picture. The second part is that we have a 240 GB virtual private server on GoDaddy. I can only account for about 80 GB of space used, but it shows that we only have 20 GB available. This has become an issue and I need to know where that is. I don't expect this to take long to resolve as I've had the connection lost error before. Thank you.
