React Grid Layout customization for allowing free movement.

We love the popular grid layout at [login to view URL] But, we want to be able to freely move grid boxes around with the following behavior: (1) Toggle snapping on/off (disable default behavior) (2) Allow a dragged window to "stick" at any place we drag it. This means a window can be placed on top of another window. We currently use react-grid-layout and switching to another library would not be a preferred solution..but if there is a very strong argument for switching, we could possibly be convinced. We'd like to create a fork and you may release this back as opensource and take credit if you would like.
