Build a TreeMap widget in JS/HTML5 for a WordPress website

Looking to hire someone to develop a financial TreeMap widget whose underlying functionality is similar to the one shown here: [login to view URL] For this project, you would essentially be aiming to develop a widget that aims to replicate the functionality shown at finviz, but focusing on a different sector/data. The source of the data I aim to utilize is available via a public API. However, this API data does not contain information regarding the various categories/nodes pertinent to segmentation of the TreeMap; it only contains price, performance, and id data. The category information required for TreeMap hierarchy would need to be manually curated and, therefore, the structure of the code would require the ability for me to manually update categories over time, perhaps via a source spreadsheet/document. For example, in the Finviz TreeMap you have "Technology" (node1), "Internet Information Providers" (node1-a). I would require the same hierarchy design (master node and sub node), but different node names, dependent on the API data. These names would require update overtime, especially as new entries into the API are released. My background experience doesn't include any real development expertise or considerable experience with any programming languages; this project is an idea I've had that, while requiring the above development expertise, is only truly valuable when paired with equally important fundamental understanding of the data and marketing to the right individuals.
