Hi all,
I work in the music business, and ever since MySpace effectively died there hasn't really been a central focus on where to find *especially* unsigned bands. Soundcloud, Facebook and youtube all do good jobs in their own rights but don't offer anywhere near good enough facilities for the band themselves (the music player on Facebook is a disaster for example), and apps for the band pages aren't really top drawer.
What i'm looking for isn't in effect a new social network (as i'd be mad to think it would even touch the surface), but to bring the other social networks together using a very clean interface that would make them a useful tool for bands, hoping eventually a large number of unsigned bands would use the site as their primary way to connect with fans.
I'd like to create a very clean website where a band can create their own page (and thus have their own dedicated URL for example [login to view URL]) that would give them an email too.
The profile page would be split into the following sections - (i'm looking for all of this to be as clean and contemporary looking as possible and ideally on one page). The band would have a basic cms but no access to coding etc.
"Learn" (this would be a basic profile for the band's details, such as links to their other websites, manager/label names, names of the band, home town, respective instruments,
"Listen" (where the music player would be) - very similar to the original myspace player showing daily and total plays.
"Look" (a section to embed videos from youtube and vimeo and to upload photos which are taggable on Facebook)
"Connect" (this would be using Facebook connect allowing Facebook and twitter users to log on to the website and comment on the page, images, songs
I'm on an extremely limited budget but am interested in hearing any offers from those who are interested in the project. If it were possible to perhaps draft up a photoshop example of what you're thinking for layout that would be fantastic.
Revenue will come from 3 sources - advertising (adsense) - so please consider how that would look in the layouts.
The option to remove advertising at a monthly fee by the band, and also an iTunes style cut of the profits from selling
The key thing i'm looking for is a unique, clean looking contemporary website that looks modern and attractive enough to the band to make it their primary website. I don't want the band to be able to customise anything other than the details posted above (this ruined myspace for bands) - bands enjoy the numbers game of having more plays and hits than other bands with identical websites rather than making themselves look interesting with strange coding.
Looking forward to working on the project with someone. Hope it's something that interests you.
I have checked detail your requirements and ready to start right now. It can be done perfectly...
Send me a message to start working with you,
Waiting for reply,
