PC-based GUI

I need a relatively dumb PC-based graphic interface which will gather information from several graphic screens consisting of radio buttons and text boxes, and put together several formatted ascii strings from this information, and send these strings out the serial port. These ascii strings will control several external video titlers that I am now in the process of finishing development of. The GUI should also have the ability to save all information to a text file (operator supplies filename), and recreate the screens from this information. The GUI also acts as a sort of 'control center' for these titlers, and must keep track of the status of up to 5 jobs running simultaneously. I originally wanted a **BEAUTIFUL** GUI like: <[login to view URL]> but have come to my senses (slightly) and believe the GUI might best be written in VB6 so that I can tweak it slightly until the product is fully developed. **I would like to keep the option open of upgrading this GUI to something beautiful, as originally conceived, when the bugs are out.** I need to be able to communicate with the programmer via phone, so think a US-based programmer best. Programmer should be willing to work with me for a period of a couple of months until product is completed. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 2000 and all newer.
