Web (PHP, CMS, JavaScript) and Mobile (Android, iOS) Development

We are looking for a developer to join us in the middle of QA/BETA testing of an existing web development project. The project is based on an ecommerce website which is rich in functionality. What we are looking for is a person/team who can understand all the functionality our site has and the codebase. As mentioned in the title we have developed a bespoke (Custom) CMS which is PHP based. So good knowledge of CORE PHP is required for this. As well as Javascript for the front end. There are a few issues that require attention, we hope that the candidate who joins us will be able to support the project after go live and aid us in our next phase (iphone/android application ). We have two main phases of work - Phase 1 must be completed before Phase 2 can begin. Phase 1 – split into three sections Phase 1a – Coding We require a developer to learn the code by fixing the remaining bugs. Essentially they are all very easy to fix, although a couple however may be of medium difficulty. This phase should not take very long, it's designed for you to debug different parts of the site and learn the code for phase 2. Phase 1b - Refactor / Optimise After an appreciation of the code and functionality. We understand the code may require some refactoring to suit the developers own style as they will be developing phase 2. We expect some suggestions from an experienced developer with regard to refactoring and optimising the code so that it is easy to debug and make additions. This may just be restructuring of classes. We do not expect this to very long. Phase 1c - Performance We wish for a developer to join us in a review of performance of the site, we can run some analytics to obtain some stats and then hope for the developer to suggest how we can improve (using knowledge gained in earlier phases). Phase 2- iPhone / Android app development The next phase is for mobile app development we are hoping the knowledge gained in phase 1 will help in the design and coding of the Mobile application. We wish to have an app that can be used on both iPhone and Android operating systems. Good knowlegde of iOS and Android development are required here. The breakdown of the Phase 2 of the project is as follows: > Design application based off of the current website design and produce wireframes (fairly simple) > Develop all required functionality (ordering, checkout, purchasing, etc) in the app. > Develop web services to communicate with the main site server.
