I have worked recently on SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 8 upgrade in the past organization in year 2021 and aware of the process. This would need a good Basis resource as well as a SAP Functional Consultant in certain cases for decision making during the SPAU/SPDD activity. The ideal delivery time depends on the number of custom objects in the system .Usually 2-5 days are a good time to deliver to low complex systems.

I am a SAP ABAP consultant with 4.5 years of experience in various sap ECC and HANA New system upgrades, development, support and ECC to HANA migration projects. I have worked with various clients from North Americ across the industry solutions. I have good knowledge of SPDD/SPAU activities during the system upgrade in our COE projects where we upgrade our demo system each year to the latest sap versions and I have worked upon 8 sap systems on this activity. Recently I have performed SPDD, SPAU for many of our system upgrades ( from ECC to HANA, HANA 1909 to HANA 2020 and currently working on sr Hana 2021 version upgrades. I have a very good experience in SAP upgradation from ECC6.0 to HANA DB for SOH project. The SPDD and SPAU adjustments can be done based on the ATC recommendation from the EHP 8 system. As you are requesting, all the configurations, custom code changes and Custom Data dictionary objects can be retained or restored in new EHP 8 system. This is phase is a normal activity in Migration projects and can be handled without any issues. If this is fine, we can go for further discussion.
