Given the five choices presented, I would unequivocally set the story in New York State. New York is a densely populated area that has the seedy and shadowy areas of an inner-city, but also has a mountainous and open terrain in the northeastern part of the state. There is an almost inexhaustible number of thematic elements that can be seen in the inner cities of the five boroughs of New York. Dark alleys, organized crime, corrupt law enforcement officials, and a plethora of hiding places. Also, New York City is the city that never sleeps. The tension there can be palpable, and the erratic pulse of the city would contribute to the climactic elements of the yarn. Such an answer may seem banal and overplayed, but it is good reason. However, if New Orleans was also listed, I would have a difficult time choosing. By the way, I am an internationally published author who has written hundreds of creative works for businesses and individuals, including a 360-page novel. All of my work is original. My English is exquisite, and my grammar is flawless.
