Hi, you do NOT require great Excel skills for this project... I am looking for an intelligent freelancer with excellent English skills to validate my search terms that I will later use to categorize downloaded news articles into themes, based on whether the articles contain one of the words that define the theme. For example, an article containing "exhibit" or "conference" will relate articles to the EVENTS theme. See the excel attached, we have around 21 themes that I need you to validate and ensure that incorrect articles do not get detected. For example, if we had a search term of "expo" for the EVENTS theme, we would also pick up articles with a word like "exponential" because we will use a like algorithm for the search later on which is incorrect based on the theme. Rather you will replace this word with additional words like "at the expo" to increase the chances of the article mapping correctly to the EVENTS theme. This project is to correct the current search terms that I have, but once this is done I will pay a separate project to find more keywords that we can include to enhance the theme. Thanks. Kyle

Hi there! I have read and understood that you need the data in the excel file categorized, and some edits made to the shorter keywords to make sure we are not categorizing it wrong later when you have the algorithm in hand. For example, war, if searched, will open an article if it contains Warren Buffet in it. Thus, we have to change those common words to something like "at war" which makes it more clearer and will not interfere much with the system.
