The Atticus Project is a San Francisco based non-profit organization and a grassroots movement by leading U.S. in-house legal departments and international law firms aiming to accelerate high-quality contract review using AI. We are building the first-in-history open-sourced training dataset of legal contracts. Read more about us at [login to view URL] Number of Posts 5-10 Essential Qualifications Bachelors’ Degree in Law (LLB) completed At least one year of experience reviewing U.S. legal contracts Excellent English oral and written skills Ability to meet regularly in the early morning Indian time due to the time difference Other Requisites Passionate about the mission of The Atticus Project Proficient with productivity tools and technology such as Slack and Google Suite Detailed-oriented, diligent, persistent and responsive Minimum commitment of 25 hours per week for 9 months Job Profile Review U.S. contracts and identify 40+ types of clauses using detailed guidelines created by U.S. attorneys Attend regular training sessions and discussions Review dataset and prepare for publication Location Virtual How to Apply To apply for the post, email a copy of your cover letter and resume to info @atticusprojectai.org. The candidates must include the following in their application form: A cover letter (of at least 1 full page) explaining eligibility for the position, in accordance with the essential and desirable criteria mentioned above i.e. justifying which of these criteria you possess and describing your work with English language legal contracts. Resume/CV Please note: Applications with cover letters that do not detail out these two aspects will not be considered, even if a CV is submitted. Qualified candidates will be invited to a technical interview. Candidates will receive guidance on how to review selected provisions in a contract. Candidates will be asked to review 2-3 contract via Zoom during the technical interview.
