I have been unable to determine the best way to get my EC2 instances in a private subnet to be able to route out to the internet without giving them an elastic IP. I have a very standard public/private VPC setup. I have a NAT in the public subnet that I believe should be able to be used as a route out. I've tried to configure the gateways, route table, and security groups appropriately without any luck. I can send details of the network, including IP addresses, when I've selected you to complete the work. Ideally the work can just be a set of instructions I can follow. But I have no issue in granting access to the AWS control panel if required. Also happy to spin up a new, temporary, EC2 instance for testing. Looking for someone who has done this before and feels it's a walk in the park. Bonus points if you happen to be in the Kitchener/Waterloo region in Ontario, Canada. I'll likely have more network or server administration needs in the future and would be great to build a relationship.

Hi there, You should setup NATTING or create a new NAT Gateway so that the traffic is routed from the instance to the Internet. If you need further assistance please contact through chat. Regards, Imran Ahmed.

Maybe its because of the Source/Destination Check of NAT instance why the EC2 cannot access the internet. I'm happy to work with you and investigate on this issue. I am a certified AWS Solutions Architect-Associate and AWS Developers-Associate.

Dear Sir/Madam, I understood what is your problem ,that you configured the VPC private network but you did not define its route table routing out from destination 0.0.0.0/0 to NAT instance, and also to create the right NATSG security group in order to get out of internet, especially you have to disable the SrcDestCheck of Your NAT Instance. So i can help you to death with this issue. Please don't hesitate to contact with me to talk about this for more detail. My skype is phuongluuho. Thanks and best regards. Phuong.

Hi there, I am Nour from Germany. I believe I can help you routing out your EC2 instances to the internet. I just need to know more details about what you are trying to expose. For example, is there a web server, API, something else? What do you exactly want to share with others to access these services? an IP? We can have a short Skype call to exchange further details. Then, I will just apply the solution when you give me an access to your AWS console. I can write the steps I have followed once everything works fine. This way you can do it on your own next time. Cheers, Nour
