Move a Drupal based site from version 6 to version 7 with some mods

We have an online travel guide hosted on Drupal version 6.14. We want to move it to Drupal 7.32, for which the server and software is already set up. The main problem is that the current version is quite full with various mods and changes, some of which we don't need anymore. So the task will not be simply to update the old Drupal, but to 1) determine which mods to keep and which should be removed (to optimize load speed) 2) install the needed modules on the new server 3) copy a part of the existing directory structure (menu structure) to the new Drupal version on the new server 4) copy the existing content to the new Drupal installation, making sure that URLs, meta tags and Facebook modules (likes + comments) stay the same 5) check the resulting installation, make sure it runs faster than before 6) if needed, make some optimization, like caching, switching off some modules in drupal, installing the new ones that can help speed up the site. * FYI the site has about 500 active pages that will need to be updated. * There are 5 types of views: one for the main story layout, one for the main index pages, one for sub sections, one for forum, and one for showing maps – these will need to be imported in the new installation. * There are also a few pages that should launch PHP scripts directly (forms that submit information to another site), so some Drupal mods will need to be activated in order to allow for this functionality. * The website address is [login to view URL] so you can check it yourself.
