This is a data recovery project. It should be easy enough for a knowledgeable Oracle DBA. A tar was taken of /oradata, which had all the Oracle DB data, control, and log files. The server was then wiped out completely, including the OS and binaries. I will give you access to a fresh Solaris 10 Sparc machine (like the original) with /oradata untarred in place. Your job is to install Oracle DB and make all data accessible via queries again. I do not know which patch level the original Oracle installation was. The JBoss port 1099 works great during development however when we are testing the application where the JBoss is remote, still using port 1099, the remote client can't connect.
