Contest Brief

Objective: Master Bath and Closet Design for remodel in existing space. (see attachments)

Deliverables:
Detailed floor plan in PDF and DWG. (Required)
Detailed 3D renderings. (Highly Suggested)
Shop Drawings to supply to cabinet vendors and other trades. (Highly Suggested)

Residential architecture
Excellent portfolio

Notes:
This is a 1965 (Mid-Century Modern) home in Dallas, TX. The design needs to be modern, warm, and hint at American Mid-Century Design. Pictures can/will be provided for design ideas.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE ELEVATIONS. THIS IS NOT A SQUARE BOX. THERE ARE VAULTED CEILINGS, AND A HEADER (exposed beams in images will be covered in sheet rock, timber, tile or other - not exposed)
Two existing windows can be covered on the interior. Don’t spend a lot of time designing around them. If they can be used, that is great.
There is an existing skylight. Try to design with it in mind. If it is critical that it be removed, moved, or changed that is fine.
There is one existing door between the master bedroom and the bath/closet. It can be relocated. A second door can even be added.

Must Have:
Larger walk-in shower with two rain heads and bench. 1-2 glass walls are ok.
Two vanities. His and Hers, hers should be larger if seperated. One large vanity with two sinks and mirrors could be considered.
Water closet - Toilet only.
Access to the closet from the bathroom
Bathroom on the left/south side. See pictures of general guidelines
Closet on the right/north side. See pictures of general guidelines
Linen/towel closet, either in bathroom or area in closet itself

Strongly Suggested:
Think outside the box
Shower and toilet on the East wall (low side of the ceiling)

OK to have:
Dropped ceilings are okay at the higher elevation. See pictures.

Nice to have:
Skylight in current location
Towel warming rack space

Must NOT Have:
Bathtub of any type
Bidet
Sink in W/C. Toilet only.

    Hi I just want to give you an advice. You can use Ikea bathroom planner. Write in the room size and you can plan accordingly to your wishes. You can include wardrobe system. When you finish you just click order and they deliver it to you. Its easy to assemble but if you prefer for a small price they assemble furniture and put in shower, toilet, and sinks. Most things has 10-40 years guarantee. Go visit Ikea.com
