Help installing Drupal module

I need help getting the "protected-pages" module working on a Drupal site. I installed the module, but instead of just asking for the specified password, the site asks the user to log in with an email address and password (the site's regular login process). If we can't get that one to work, I just need to find one that will password protect pages of my choosing.

I need this done tonight (US time) if possible.
