Selling printed and framed user photos

Have an online large format printing and want to add a section with database of images (stock images) from photographers. Our customers could upload their own images when they want to print but this section is useful to have an image data base for those customers that don't have their own images and want to choose from a stock images data base.

The photographers (suppliers of images) can create an account where to upload their pictures, check by me to match a specific policy, set prices for each image depending of size or some proprieties. Each photographer could have a basic type of account (with specific features (ex a limited number of free stored imagines, limited period of time for storing non selling pictures) or a premium one, depending of the price will pay for hosting their images. Each one will have a number (let's say five) of free pictures they can store and if they want to store more, it will be a price fixed per pictures or depending of some premium services they will get (for example showing their pictures as "recommended".

Customers can browse images, search within some criteria (colours, categories, set by me), create favourite list, attach as a custom field to an already defined products in the store (printed frames, prints on different boards). They can buy prints with the stock images or just images. Depending of that, the images will have a price if they will be bought without prints or a smaller if they will be printed.

All the images should have the possibility to be sort by different criteria (ex. best sold, best ratings, featured images, premium images, etc).

Multilingual ready (english is by default and the other languages will be translated by me).

My company is selling prints, most of them with customer graphic files. So customers come to us and bring their graphic files (ex. photos, graphic layouts) and choose to print them on different papers. They could just print the files or also they could choose to frame prints or to mount the prints on some rigid boards. The customers could be photographers (most of them today) but also non-photographers that means they don't have graphic files. These customers ask us to provide them files for them, from different categories (ex. landscapes, flowers, animals, portraits, so on) because they don't have their own files and want to buy from our site or from other stock photography sites.

The online store is made for easier print orders but in this moment is made just for printing customers own provided files. We want to add the stock image data base on site (provided from different photographers) to offer the possibility for our non-photographer customers to choose some images to print.

So their are two kind of users who will access the site:

- the customers. These are the users who order prints from us (framed or not, mounted on boards or not), made with their own graphic files (will upload their files) or choosing images from the stock images part of site; so customers could be photographers or not. Have to add here the mention that customers could also buy only images found on site, not the prints also.

- the photographers. These are those users who provide their images for the stock part of the site. They sell the images on this site and customers can buy just the images or also the prints with these images. Photographers will have the possibility to put a limited number of photos on our site (free of charge) and a limited number of days for the not sold photos. Otherwise, they will have to pay for hosting their images or for some special advertising policy fees (some of their images will be recommended more that others). So the image data base should have some user (by admin) defined criteria for showing, sorting, rating, categories... The photographers will open an account, upload their photos, set the attributes from a admin defined categories (landscape, flowers, animals, portraits...), set the price for each images, delete/edit these attributes for each image and so on.

Of course, there is a special user (admin) who will manage all the policies, criteria, categories and so on.

So with on site already existing child products (prints on different materials, framed with different frames, mounted on different boards) you have to find a solution to "add/attach" graphic files (with the possibility of setting by admin the file type, file size, number of files) or to choose an image or more images from the stock image part of site. After choosing images from stock or uploading their own files, all those images will have previews in cart or order/email order to see exactly which image is linked to the child product.

The online store is already done in Joomla + Virtuemart so this solution should be made for this CMS. The project is to add this solution for an stock images with gallery, with sorting images within different attributes or criteria and to have the possibility to attach the selected images from stock images to any existing products for print.
