We are using GeoTheme to build a directory website. The website will have several sections;
• Accommodation
• Classifieds
• Directory
• Events
• Property
- Land
- Property For Rent
- Property For Sale
• Restaurants
• Tours
What we need:
• Custom forms created for each section when users add new listings. The user should be able to select “Listing Type” from a drop down, then depending on their selection the correct form will display.
1. Accommodation: Location, Property Type, Indoor Area, Plot Size, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Sleeps, Distance to airport, Nearest Beach, View, Architectural, Swimming Pool, Furniture, Year Built, Offer Term, Suitability, Ownership, Description, Prices Start From
2. Classifieds: Item Title, Price, Location, Description, Telephone, Email, Pictures
3. Directory: Business name, Address, Telephone, Email, Website, Contact Person, Pictures, Opening Times
4. Events: Pictures, Start & End Times, Address, Promotions, Entry Fee, Description
5. Property (this will have 3 sub sections - “Land”, “Property For Rent” and “Property For Sale”): Location, Property Type, Indoor Area, Plot Size, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Sleeps, Distance to airport, Nearest Beach, View, Architectural, Swimming Pool, Furniture, Year Built, Offer Term, Suitability, Ownership, Description
6. Restaurants: Pictures, Opening Times, Address, Promotions, Food Type, Description, Telephone, Email, Website
7. Tours: Tour Title, Pictures, Prices Start From, Company Name, Promotions, Telephone, Email, Type of Tour, Itinerary
• When viewing list view, each section will display the following;
- Accommodation: Business Name, Location, Prices Start From, Website, Telephone
- Classifieds: Item Title, Price, Telephone, Email, Location
- Directory: Business Name, Location, Telephone, Email, Website
- Events: (leave as is)
- Property: Title, Location, Telephone, Price, Email
- Restaurants: Business Name, Location, Food Type, Telephone, Email
- Tours: Tour Title, Prices Start From, Duration, Website, Telephone
• The Directory section needs sub categories, so when accessed from the nav menu it appears similar to this website: [login to view URL] This will mean when adding a new listing for the directory, the user must select a preset category.
• Related listings should relate to the category/sub-category.
• The right side bar needs to pull content using PHP Include depending on the page selected so we can provide targeted advertising. I had expected to do this using is_page, but I can't get it to recognise the slug or ID. If this is not the most efficient way of updating, we are open to suggestions.
• single_post_advert needs to update dynamically using the same method as the right side bar.
• homepage need to display an image slider (preferably FlexSlider) and upcoming events listings
This won't be hard for an experienced Wordpress dev as the theme includes templates for places/events - it requires some customisation, so serious bids only please.
There will be future work on this project and others, so I'm looking for a reliable punctual developer.
