FCM - troubleshooting apple certificates

I have code for FCM which works in test projects. However, I cannot integrate it in an existing Main project. So there is definatley an error with my Apple certificates for the main project. The job is to troubleshoot the apple certificates and get the push notifications to run in developer and production mode for external testers.
Note 1: The error is not obvious. I went though stack overflow and other people have same issues, related to their Apple Account. However, none of the suggested methods work in my case.
Note 2: I have tried to reissue the certificates and it got worse. Before I received push notifications for the Main project in developer mode. Only production mode did not work. Now I don't receive any push notifications at all anymore.
