Need help converting complex jpeg to vector

Hello,
I'm designing a new product package and it includes a very detailed design pattern that I could only find in jpeg/png format. I would really like it to be vectorized so the printing comes out as crisp as possible.
I have a moderate level of skill with Adobe illustrator. I've tried all the tricks I can find with some success but all my vector conversions come out being too altered compared to the original jpeg design.
Recreating the design in vector from scratch is above my skill level (it would also take me way too long). Maybe someone out there is much faster or has a shortcut that can be used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
