I have a FLA routine that needs to be turned into a stand-alone application AND to save preferences onto the user's computer. Someone did this ok for Windows (using Zinc, where the preferences file was saved to Cdrive) but couldn't work out how to do it for Mac OS. They suggested it might be a job for mProjector or visual basic.

The only modification reqd for the Flash file (I believe) is to determine where the preferences file should be written to.
