Code it today - get paid today! I need an efficient way to convert data from MS Excel 97 worksheet into PayPal 'Buy it now" or "Add to cart" buttons. I currently have this functionality in an Access database I created, but I need a standalone program to give to my clients who maintain their own websites. Therefore I need royalty-free distribution rights or the copyright. This project is to create a stand-alone resource to extract data from the spreadsheet, mark up price to cost from a user-input precentage, and output working HTML for a Paypal add to cart or buy now button. The solution should allow the user to input items one by one manually, or to point to an Excel spreadsheet and process the entire batch of items listed there. I'll provide the spreadsheet to the selected programmer - it is simple, just a few fields. The solution should allow for the default button image, or the input of a URL for the desired button. It should allow the user to select whether they are making buy now or add to cart buttons. Let's talk more about this - it is probably evident to programmers what I am thinking of. I'll be more specific when you win the project, but I encourage you to come up with better ideas than I have for features! The GUI need not be fancy, but since I am providing this to clients as a value-added resource when they do business with me, I would like it to be reasonably clean and eye friendly. No graphics needed - just a sense of balance and good use of 'white space'. This will be used by newbies who want to cut and paste price changes into their own web pages. Please keep that in mind - you can write this in anything from Javascript they can use from a browser, to whatever language you work best in - but I doubt most users will understand how to install runtimes, etc. Attached, the html for a paypal buy it now button.
