Need help setting up Telerik Cordova Project

I've created a project using Telerik App Builder extension in Visual Studio but I'm unable to successfully setup a "Menu Button Click Event", whatever I try, it never works. I've tried using the simulator and even installed on my phone. Attached is my project files
