We are seeking a talented developer who will build Chat feature in our android application using node.Js & mongoDb. The existing chat feature is implemented using Firebase Realtime Database, But we would like to migrate it to a more scalable, cheaper and flexible solution using node.js. The new chat feature should be capable of handling the following features:
There are 2 UI screen for this feature:
1. Friends screen
# All friend should be visible to the current user(if he/she has follow that user and vice- versa)
# Priority to show users (in top to bottom) should as bellow;
- favorite user (users should be shown at top)
- Unread chat should be shown at top
- Last chat user should shown as top
# If user is added or removed from chat(it should reflect in real-time)
# Notifications icon ? should should be display at navigation tab (if any new chat available)
# each user has following data available e. g: unique UUID, image, and name.
2. Chat Screen
# Chat screen open on selecting particular user
# Previous chat history with current user should be available initially last 10 chats (LIFO orders) and more on scroll up
# User should be able send and receive chat in real time (stored in mongoDb)
# Delete particular chat option should be available

- Android (java)
- Node.js development(JavaScript)
- MongoDB
- System Design and Data Structure & Algorithms
Please note that the project requires expertise in both Node.js and Android(java) , as well as the ability to integrate the two technologies seamlessly. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a fully functional and tested chat feature that meets our requirements.
