You are required to estimate the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) for AstraZeneca plc at its 31st December 2014 financial year-end.
You should present your estimation in the form of a paper, which would be suitable for presentation to potential investors. Your paper should include the following:
a) Cost of Equity, as determined by two different methods of calculation.
b) Cost of Debt, as determined by two different methods of calculation.
c) Corporate tax rate
d) Gearing
e) WACC calculation
Calculations should be referenced such that the reader can trace the source of all supporting data, and should include sufficient workings to enable the reader to verify their accuracy.
