Contest Brief
I am after a book cover. My book is being published by Ingram Spark whose file creation guide and design template (the barcode must remain intact) are attached.
The book is about a girl named Lacey, a brunette tom boy with a keen interest in basketball, cars and her best friend Nate, hasn't had the best luck when it comes to relationships. So, when she breaks up with her boyfriend Jake not only does she lose him but the popularity and 'friends' that go with knowing Jake and in order to try and make some new friends she joins Meet Your Match, an Australian friendship and dating website. Lacey starts talking to Chad who could not be more perfect, they have everything in common but sometimes Chad acts a bit suspicious and with the help of her best friend Nate, Lacey goes on a mission to find out if Chad is real or a catfish. Is Chad too good to be true? But unbeknownst to Lacey, her perfect match might just be closer than she thought.
The front of the cover should have the title, "How I Met My Match" and author, "Aimee Duff", the spine should have the same.
The back of the cover should have the title and author at the top, the following quotes:
"When online dating is not all that it may seem"
"Sometimes all we need is right in front of our eyes"
"The power of love will prevail all else"
and the following blurb:
"When Lacey breaks up with her boyfriend, Jake, she watches as her popularity, friends and social life goes with him.
Managing basketball, school and everyday life is a lot to deal with when you only have one friend by your side, so in the hope to make some new friends, Lacey joins an online dating and friendship website, MeetYourMatch. Then, Lacey meets Chad, Lacey's dream guy who she couldn't have more in common with. But is it fate? Or is it too good to be true?"
Looking forward to seeing your designs!!
Note: The final product should be provided in PDF format
***Made a mistake on submission - IngramSpark recommend using Adobe Illustrator - not InDesign as the skill I put in would suggest - sorry***
