Contest Brief

The purpose of this contest is to find an artist to help paint a collage from a set of old photos ( intended to be used as a gift for a 50-yrs marriage anniversary ). Each photo would have to be painted or drawn to look better in the collage; ideally the end result will be a drawing/painting that will include around 20 scenes, interlaced with year numbers and nicely linked with elements like strings/vines/leaves/rays etc.

Each scene should fit on an A5 format and not cost more than 20$. Can be either color or b/w ( crayon, pencil, carchoal, etc ), and I would appreciate if you provide a description of what background you think would suit your version best.

You should choose one of the attached photos and transform it into what you think should look like. I am also attaching archives of examples of "yes" and "no's".
What I would like to see : scenes fading into a background, tasteful colors, suggested features but not too stylized
What I do NOT want : cheeky/exaggerated features, striking/intense colors, too much black.

Please demonstrate your skills by transforming one of the photos in the "photos to choose from" archive. Entries that contain any other drawings will be rejected.
I am not interested in photoshopped versions of the photos, either.

      I do not agree. Most of the photos in the "good examples" section are made after fullsize , handmade paintings that were bought by me on the streets of Vienna and Paris for prices under 30 EUR each.

      If the payment is not enough to your skills, please do not submit an entry. I do not comment on the amount you ask for your work. Similarly, please have the courtesy to not express your opinion about the prices I offer for my contests. Nobody invited you, nor asked for your participation, to do so.

    The sketches will have to be scanned and digitized to be submitted as entries in this contest but yes I am looking for handpainted not photoshop.
