Contest Brief

I would like to renovate the website logo. I want a more modern and catchy logo but always very simple and minimal. The website is a wide library of notes, exercises and past exams. Users are bachelor and master degree students (mainly engineers and business degrees). Website domain is www.andreadd.it (founder of the website: Andrea De Donatis). You can recognize initial letters of name and surname in the actual LOGO. Keeping in mind these information I would like to receive a new logo. All given information are useful to design the new logo but not mandatory (I am open to any idea).
Requested: vectorial logo in round and square shape
Any other version or document proposed is a plus.

I like few of your ideas. Nobody thought about anything more related to the topic like students notes. Maybe a pencil or a compass or a set-square or I don't know what! I give you more time to new ideas then I will examine again more in deep the existing ones commenting the ones that I liked more.
