Contest Brief

I am looking for a talented artist to recreate the attached image that was originally produced using artificial intelligence. This project is for personal use and I need it completed within a week.

The image was submitted to the copyright office of the United States as the cover image of a novel. However, I do not want the image to be marked as AI by the publisher. I therefore need a recreation of the image, looking as close as possible to the original, using classical methods - either digitally edited or manually redrawn. No AI! Images that are classified as AI by automated software will be rejected.

To distinguish it from the original, the waist of the man in the image should be very slightly wider and the sword should be straight.

The resulting image should have the same dimensions (6000 pixels wide and 6700 pixels high). Please indicate what method you used or what alterations you made.

    Do you know what is the funniest thing? If you take a photo-capture of entry #110 , and one of the winning entry, and superimpose the heads of both images, you will see that they are the same heads hahaha. Same relief, same detail, everything. Do you understand what I mean? That is to say: the one who submitted the winning entry (entry #126 ) took a photo capture of entry #110 , cut it out, and pasted it into his image hahaha. This is delusional.

    And I say this because I just verified it by doing that same thing, it's sadly funny.

    Obviously that hand and sword come from another image as well. But well, anyway...

    Watch out, some top entries are no hand painted/ recreated as they should. Probably you are taking the risk of receiving a low quality photo at 72 dpi

      Hi! I fully agree with you and thank you for your comments. They are really helpful. Honestly, I don't know how to evaluate this whole thing without receiving the actual result and running it through an AI checker. That is the reason I didn't run a guaranteed contest because at the end of the day all entries may be deceptions. As to your questions: I like the image I created with AI because it really reflects the content that I want. If the newly created image is more realistic, the better, but generally I want it to be close to my original. Another reason for that is that, as I wrote in the instructions, the book and the cover have already been submitted for copyright protection. The image itself could be rejected because it is AI but as a book cover it will not be. Anyway, thanks a lot for your interest and once again thank you for your helpful comments. I hope you can deliver something that I can use and therefore also pay for. Regards.

      Hello! thanks for your answer! This gives me confidence to dedicate time to doing something of quality. Also, I see that you have rejected all those meaningless entries. Although right now, some "freelancers" have re-uploaded many entries which don't make sense... it seems as if they haven't even read the description. Unfortunately these people make a horrible spam of images and that greatly distorts the contests. But luckily I see that you are attentive and will keep it in order.

      Yes, I will make a digital painting as similar to what you have done. There is a small adjustment that I will have to make with respect to the original image, but I will tell you about that when I deliver my proposal, and I am sure you will understand. Don't worry, it's nothing drastic.

      This will take me a few days, and it's almost the weekend. So I'll come up with something next week.

    Interesting contest. I'm sure you'll ask for proof that it's something made by a real artist. Photo screenshot showing the different layers, and even a video if possible. You have to be very attentive to deception because there will be many people who will use A.I. to deceive you. I recommend you immediately reject those entries. This way the contest will look more "clean"

    The first, second and third entries are already a scam.


    Regarding the illustration: does it have to look 100% identical to the original image? Or could there be some different fold in the outfit and the flag? or some different detail in the hair. Make the hand look better holding the sword (this will also help detect A.I.) I talk about small details to make it even more original. Thank you.
