I try to keep the both Base and Lid as an assembled part and will introduce a cam type lever for smooth manual pressing and to avoid hammer hit. Thanks for hearing me.

I accept your concern. I will modify the design and will keep the teeth along with the welded connector(insertion molding) on the base. I also understand its hard to see the detail of cable retained in drawing but I considered it as a one piece as from the information given in your contest attached document. Thanks for your quick guidance, I will do my best and will send another design before submission time.

My other concern with your design is the tolerance stackup - the knives will have to pierce the cable very accurately everytime. Considering the tolerance of the metal piercing teeth piece, the holes and placement on the lid, the lid overall dimension, then the base. Even with tight manufacturing tolerances, these would fluctuate too much and there is a high risk of a short circuit. Best to have the teeth on the base, and place the cable directly on the teeth.

My feedback: I don't think electricians will accept to hit the lid with a hammer to make contact. The could potentially be in a roof space or up a ladder when working on this.

It's hard to see the way you have retained the long run of cable from your drawing. Keep in mind, this is one piece. Unless you are considering removing the outer sheath, and placing each wire individually?
