<Technology Description>
This technology displays a predicted driving trajectory of a vehicle in a superimposed manner on an image from an in-vehicle camera in order to support a driver who relies on the image to operate the vehicle (e.g., a remote driver who remotely operates a remote driving vehicle). One of the problems that can be anticipated when displaying the predicted driving trajectory is that the turning circle becomes the predicted driving trajectory when the vehicle is turning, while if the turning circle is simply superimposed on the image, the display of the turning circle is deflected to either the outside or the inside with respect to the actual turning of the vehicle. This is because the body of the vehicle is inclined with respect to the traveling direction of the vehicle by the amount of the slip angle, while the imaging direction of the in-vehicle camera is along the direction of the body of the vehicle. In order to solve this problem, this technology estimates a current slip angle of the vehicle and corrects the turning circle by rotation in accordance with the estimated slip angle. Then, this technology displays, on the image from the in-vehicle camera, the turning circle subjected to the rotation correction as the predicted driving trajectory in superimposed manner.
