Contest Brief

Hi, my name is Vincent Martino, I live in Toronto, Canada and I am an independent filmmaker. I have created short films for over a decade and am looking for some to design a poster for my latest film. I have sketched a design on paper, created a mock up on photoshop, and even have an example poster. If you want to view my website, you can visit it at renegadebros.ca.

SYNOPSIS: Marty Bates is a failure in life, but a genius in his own mind. He is an unrealistic and ambitious young filmmaker, in pursuit of making it in show business. Mr. Williams is a high school Media Arts teacher and one of Marty's old elementary school teachers. When Marty finds out that Mr. Williams is holding a film festival for his media arts class, he is convinced this will be his big break. Unfortunately for Marty, Mr. Williams isn't interested in the would-be filmmaker. Undaunted, Marty effectively stalks Mr. Williams, following the teacher to his home where Marty forces his old teacher - at gunpoint- to watch his latest film.

      And as a designer I can and we all have. It seems that the images are clearly in a larger and better quality but we are given smaller and lower resolution images. I'm saying all of this because for $115 he should be getting the absolute best stuff and not settle for the lower quality designs we are giving him.

    Vincent. This movie has alot of potential. But you really can't expect people to give you a high quality design with these small pictures. I make professional posters for a living and the photos you give us are less than 1,000 by 1,000 pixels. We need high quality pictures because blowing the pictures up makes the image lose its resolution and messes with the lighting.
