Need a design for a new company logo

I would need a new logo for my software developing company named Soko (capital S). Here are the features I am looking for in order of priority (highest to lowest) and some info which might be helpful. But dont feel your creativity restricted by it too much...

- main company color is Pantone 299C (#00a3e0). So it should be the main color but feel free to add as many colors as you want
- two color versions of the logo: square and oblong/rectangle delivered as vector image
- the logo is also recognizable in gray and maybe even in black-white/line-drawing/shape as well
- my customers are mainly (very) small companies who like to get a small taylored software
- the logo can use letters of Soko or read Soko at a second glance
- A long version of my company would be Soko - IT solutions (you may add it for the rectangle version)
- soko means special commission/special forces in our/customers country (to animate your creativity)
- best logo in the world inmho is the one of sun microsystems. Not because of how it looks, its because it reads SUN without using letters! But please don&amp;#039;t copy it or use too much. If it looks too similar to the SUN logo I will get in copyright troubles!

Your entry should have (2D on white background):
- square color version
- oblong/rectangle color version
- black white (NOT grayscale)

Please DO NOT just use a special font, write Soko and give it colors. Thats not a logo in my opinion and not what I need. At least convert the letters into paths and do something with it...

Please DO NOT post the same logo multiple times in different varitions. If you like to do variations please do them in one picture. 3D versions are not needed/wanted. Just stick with the variations I mentioned above (Your entry should have...).

If my rating isnt good please refrain from changing it a little, i.e. moving the rectangles to another position, and re-submit it. My rating is based on the overall idea and not on the position or colors of things. In other words: I imagine the logo/idea in different variants already before I rate it.

Please refrain from posting -please check my entry...- as it clutters the board.

I will try to have a look at your entries once a day and give it a rating.

Update (also in the description now): Please submit one design ONCE in 2D on white background from now on (please don't re-submit old entries). For all already sumbitted I will rate just one entry of the same design. I will ignore all newly submitted multiple entries of the same design.

Hi guys and thanks heaps for all the entries, wow. Its my first use of freelancer.com and I didnt expect so many entries! In addition I'm just learning how to do this...
