Contest Brief

I am in the process of advertising an ebook that is self published through an online company, unfortunately I have no artistic talent at all and currently it is being advertised with design generated by this one particular website, which means I cannot use the cover page with any other company and am limited to the mediums I can advertise and sell through.

I am in need of a new cover page I have exclusive rights to in order to reach more people.

The image that wins this competition will be used as the cover but as I cannot guarantee that the ebook will sell I am not offering any ongoing royalties. I will however, give full credit to whoever wins on the dedication page with as much information as the winner wants to submit. (Personal website, Freelancer profile, online gallery, logo, Etc. Etc.)

I have no artwork, images or photos, so am relying on a freelance artist to come up with something completely original.

I know that time is money and as the prize is not as high as in other competitions your submissions should be as simple or as complicated as you want them to be, due to the current restrictions I am working with anything would be better so please don't be put off.

All I ask is that the ebook title "Miss South" and my name listed as "K F Williams" should appear on the cover somewhere.

I would like images to be submitted in JPEG format, and must be at least 1000 x 1600 pixals

Breif clarification encase my describtion hasn't made it quite clear. The year is 2338, this is seventy-five years after the doorway between the world was first opened. It is a Romance not a Fantasy and magic (though mentioned in the book) is not something the characters can cast vast amounts of. The main character is Henry Henronsgate who runs a company that designs and races cars, he has a few powers as mentioned in the description. The story is centered around his relationship with Harriet South. A more masculine feel to the cover would be more fitting for the character of Henry, prehaps something that leans on his job and celeb lifestyle and the kind of decadance that goes with it, rather than on the doorway and magic, yes I am Kay Williams.

Hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

  There is a lot going on in it so I tried to give a little snap shot of everything just to try and give your imaginations a free rein, nothing is worse then starting a project without any kind direction and I had no idea what I wanted on the cover which doesn't help you!

Hi can you give a brief description on what you would like to appear on cover is this book a romantic base, time period clothing main character hair color, and summery I can not open your summary doc. And are you the KFWiliams

Mine is entry 15, the symbol is to represent the Mages and the background lighting is to represent the
doorway between the two worlds. feedback when possible would be great.
