Contest Brief

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view this project. We are working on finishing our basement and are looking for unique design ideas and especially help with the layout. The space in our basement is good sized, however the layout is a bit odd / quirky. We would like to have a music room, Irish/English Pub space and a space for a movie projector. Our basement lends itself to a mostly open concept and our preference would be to keep it more open with the space we have, however we are also open to adding other walls or half walls to designate space. We are interested in a rustic look with brick or stone veneer walls and exposed wood or wood walls / ceilings. Natural wood beams are also interesting to us. I have attached several photos of our current basement in its framed in state. Also, I have attached several photos of other finished basements that we thought were interesting to us and similar styles that we'd like to incorporate. Lastly, I have attached a PDF of our current basement layout and dimensions titled "Basement Outline". This is a generally accurate measurement / estimate of the dimensions of our basement. The room nearest to the far left basement stairs has already been designated as a storage room, so please do not make any other suggestions for this room.
