Contest Brief

Hi everyone!
Our company is Sky Shelf and we are a cannabis producer and manufacturer based out of Los Angeles, CA, USA.

The company name can be one or two words ie. SkyShelf, Sky Shelf,etc.

We are going into a highly competitive market and are in need of a design guru to come up with a eye-catching logo that will be placed on our social media accounts, uniforms, packaging, etc.

Brief background behind company name:

Cannabis is usually segmented into different categories:
1. Bottom shelf is inferior product.
2. Middle shelf is acceptable/mediocre product.
3. Top shelf is the highest quality product.

Our products exceed the highest standards set forth in this industry and exceeds it by far.

We are looking for the logo to exude that image...to depict that we are of highest quality that stands apart from the rest.

Couple of key aspects:
-please refrain from using the "green" color
-please do not include usage of the cannabis/marijuana leaf (unless it is 100 percent executed originally).
-only professionally presented material will be considered.
-we will require the source file upon completion.
-Please be courteous and do not steal other peoples works; if so, we will disqualify immediately.

Couple of things to keep in mind when engaging in the design aspect of this project:

-Sky Shelf is meant as a luxury brand/lifestyle with discerning customers whom have the resources to choose between the best of the best in terms of products and selection.

-Sky Shelf is more than a brand; we want to coin this term and have it synonymous with "ultra-premium" cannabis products

-Logo must be original and cannot be derivative of existing companies. Our company will be placing this image on all products, merchandise, etc.; must be original, eye-catching.

More than likely, the winning design from this contest will be elaborated on and retooled even further. We are holding this contest to look for inspiration and draw from minds more creative than our own!

So why the walmart have the sun? There is no wall or mart in the logo. Why does nike have a swoosh? What does Best Buy have a price tag, there is no best or buying options in the logo. Get creative and think outside the box. Little minds never grow.
